Leading Teachers for G&T

This course is a four-week learning network to train and support primary and secondary leading teachers for gifted and talented education. It consists of two face-to-face training days with short gap tasks in between to put into practice what has been learnt.

Course outline

  1. Explore and understand the role of leading teacher for gifted and talented and how it contributes to school improvement.
  2. Develop effective strategies to identify gifted and talented learners and track their attainment and progress.
  3. Become familiar with the National Quality Standards and how to use them to self-evaluate whole-school gifted and talented provision.
  4. Use the outcomes of the self-evaluation to inform the development of an action plan for gifted and talented improvement.
