Leading Teachers for G&T
This course is a four-week learning network to train and support primary and secondary leading teachers for gifted and talented education. It consists of two face-to-face training days with short gap tasks in between to put into practice what has been learnt.
Course outline
- Explore and understand the role of leading teacher for gifted and talented and how it contributes to school improvement.
- Develop effective strategies to identify gifted and talented learners and track their attainment and progress.
- Become familiar with the National Quality Standards and how to use them to self-evaluate whole-school gifted and talented provision.
- Use the outcomes of the self-evaluation to inform the development of an action plan for gifted and talented improvement.
